The project "Sustainable Cultural Heritage in the Revitalization of Downtown Nassau" has been funded by the Organization of American States and FEMCIDI and involves multiple stakeholders. One of the major goals for the project is to create a prototype for the collection of cultural heritage data throughout The Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

Additionally, this site is unique in that it has integrated a web-based GIS map system, with the National Register of Historic Resources, and will allow visitors to see and research the various cultural heritage locations in the Downtown Nassau area. These resources have been divided into various categories including cemeteries, military, residences, and many more. It is among our long term goals to eventually include all of the cultural heritage resources located throughout The Bahamas on this system, to allow visitors, locals and researchers an easy, dynamic link, to understanding the cultural heritage of The Bahamas.
